About this job

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Consultant to be part of our Economists team. The successful candidate will bring strong econometric skills and hands-on experience in EU studies, including evaluations and impact assessment, ideally gained in the context of the European Commission's Better Regulation guidelines and toolbox.

Your profile

  • A minimum of 4-6 years of experience as Economist specialising in quantitative economic analysis in public sector consultancy or related fields.
  • Master's degree in economics, political science, mathematics or applied statistics.
  • Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to draw insightful conclusions from data and communicate complex economic concepts clearly to non-specialists.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clear and concise reports and deliver engaging presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience working in a consulting firm or other professional services environment preferred.
  • Expertise in methods such as econometrics, counterfactual analysis and network analysis.
  • Excellent knowledge of EC Better Regulation Guidelines.
  • Experience running Cost-Benefit, Cost-Effectiveness, and Multi-Criteria Analyses in the context of evaluations and impact assessments.
  • Working knowledge in R or Python for data analysis.
  • Nice to have : Previous experience with consulting.

Your responsibilities

The successful candidate will :
  • Contribute to evaluations, impact assessments and other studies with strong quantitative requirements.
  • Manage small to medium-sized projects.
  • Write clear and concise reports that present findings and recommendations in a compelling and accessible manner.
  • Deliver engaging presentations to clients and stakeholders, communicating complex information in a clear and understandable way.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring their satisfaction with our work.
  • Contribute to the development of new business opportunities by identifying potential clients and preparing proposals.
