Our Brussels team brings together curiosity-driven consultants with various methodological expertise and skills, from evaluation to economics and data science. Much of our work focuses on conducting evidence-based analysis and evaluation and impact assessments of EU Regulations, Directives, Programmes and policies, as well as managing multi-service complex platforms supporting stakeholders in their interaction with EU policies.

About this job

One of the priority areas for growth at Technopolis Group is the green economy. For more than a decade we have been constantly expanding our expertise in this area and providing support to policymakers in promoting eco-innovation, circular economy, resource efficiency, sustainable energy, clean technology, climate finance, smart cities, and business sustainability, where expertise lies at the crossroads between R&I policy and private sector development through better design of policy measures, better monitoring, engagement of industrial players, consumers, and citizens. We are now looking to recruit a motivated and experienced specialist to join our Brussels team as a Junior Consultant, depending on experience.


Main tasks 

 Support in ongoing projects in the area of (but not limited to) Green economy including:
  • Conduct desk research or literature reviews on specific topics
  • Conduct interviews with various stakeholders (industry, agencies, public sector, etc.)
  • Drafting case studies and good practices reports
  • Support the preparation of surveys / online consultations
  • Support communication activities (monitoring the content, drafting articles, managing online content, contacting content sources, drafting brief minutes of meetings or events,etc. );
  • Support in administrative tasks in secretariat projects  (e.g. organisation of meetings and webinars).

Your profile

Applicants suitable for an Junior Consultant position should at least have:
  • The right to live and work in the EU.
  • A Master degree in either environmental policy/management/science/engineering or related areas such as business, management, public policy, or political sciences, or communication – with specialisation and interest on sustainability topics
  • Interest in the new developments in EU policies in the area of the transition to climate neutrality, circular economy,blue economy, sustainable energy, environment, biodiversity, climate finance, as well as support actions for cities and regions, new technologies and innovations
  • Interest in communication, stakeholder engagement, network development activities
  • Acquainted with qualitative research methods (e.g. company interviews, case studies);
  • Positive attitude towards liaising with different stakeholders (i.e. companies, business associations, cities, cluster associations, and regional authorities)
  • Attention to detail
  • Good coordination and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and Power Point;
  • Full proficiency of English in speaking and writing. Knowledge of any other EU language is a plus
  • Ability to work in teams;
  • Willingness to learn about new topics and qualitative and quantitative methods, and gain new skills.
